PRESCRIPTION DRUG SAVINGS
Did you know Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club, Target, grocery stores and other retailers currently offer a large selection of generic prescriptions for $4? Remember, you’ll pay the lower of the actual drug cost or your copay, never more.
PHARMACY MAIL ORDER SERVICE
Mail order services are provided through your local pharmacy (if eligible, at CVS and Target pharmacies only) and/or CVS/Caremark’s mail order program. They will ship your order to your home days after receiving your valid prescription from your provider. Questions regarding mail-order prescriptions can be directed to www.caremark.com/RxDelivery.
SPECIALTY PHARMACY
If you’re taking a specialty medication, medical condition experts at CVS’ Exclusive Specialty Pharmacy will give you one- on-one support. Please note that all specialty medications must go through CVS’ Exclusive Specialty pharmacy network. Your personal therapy team will answer your medication questions, help you work through any side effects, and make sure you have any supplies you need (at no extra cost). Just call a CVS/Caremark Pharmacy Specialist at 1-866-818-6911 to get started.
PrudentRx
Specialty medications are used to treat complex chronic conditions; they mimic compounds found within the human body. These high-cost oral or injectable medications are typically biology-based and highly complex. Megalodon Midco, LLC is offering the PrudentRx Co-Pay program to help you manage the cost of these medications by applying financial co-pay assistance from drug manufacturers. By enrolling in the PrudentRx program, your out-of-pocket costs for covered medications would be $0.
Please contact PrudentRx at 888.203.1768 so a patient advocate can assist you with completing your enrollment.
PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS: WHAT TO KNOW
When doctors prescribe a medication to a patient, it does not guarantee the medication will be approved or covered under our pharmacy plan. Some medications and medical products require preapproval, commonly known as prior authorization. To learn more about prior authorization, select the link below for access to the RxBenefits FAQ:
